Losses have continued on US stock markets this week in their worst performance since October 2008. The Dow Jones ended down 12.4% in a week that included Thursday's all time high single day point drop of 1191. The S&P 500 ended the week down 11.5% losing 3.2 trillion USD in market cap. The Nasdaq became 10.5% smaller this week.

Dow Drops 3.56% S&P 500 Down 3.35% And Nasdaq Down 3.71%
US stock prices took a hit today with the three major indexes all falling more than three percent (archived). The Dow Jones Industrial Average had shown some small gains for the year until markets opened today. The day's 3.56 percent drop takes its performance down to -2.2 percent for 2020. Mainstream reports are crediting coronavirus panic for the loss, but US stock prices have been climbing rapidly the past few months as the Federal Reserve undertook a quiet campaign of "Quantitive Easing", buying questionable debts and printing new dollars.
Democratically Elected US President Donald Trump Writes Letter To Pantsuit Nancy
With the US House of Representatives set to vote on impeachment today, democratically elected US President Donald Trump wrote a letter to Pantsuitist House leader Nancy Pelosi expressing grave concern over the hallucinatory loop that her and her fellow Pantsuits seem to be trapped inside. Being analogous to an indictment, the impeachment on its own has no effect without being followed by a conviction supported by a 2/3 supermajority of the Senate. Noise out of the Senate suggests that the impeachment will either be dismissed shortly after opening arguments or the trial will be used to enter substantial amounts of Pantsuit dirty landry into the public record. Node.js "event-stream" Library Added Bitcoin Wallet Stealer After New Maintainer Takes Over
The "popular" node.js "event-stream" library was loaded with a module stealing from Bitpay's Copay Bitcoin wallet after creator and longtime maintainer Dominic Tarr handed maintenance over to an unknown identifying itself with the text string "right9ctrl" (archived). Before the handover right9ctrl made a couple of contributions to event-stream building rapport with Tarr. After getting the keys to the repository right9ctrl added a dependency in event-stream on a new "flatmap-stream" library which had been distributed in an encrypted form, which should itself have been a warning if anyone had been bothering to read code they run. Instead it took two months for supicions to emerge.
Bitpay's Copay wallet used the even-stream library, and Bitpay was not involved in raising the alarm over this grave subversion of their product.

Casino Robbed Amid Civil Disorder In St Louis
Three men armed with rifles robbed the cashier's cage at the Casino Queen in East Saint Louis, Illinois early Sunday morning1 while civil disorder continues on the other side of the river in Saint Louis, Missouri. One unarmed casino guard was shot, no patrons were injured, and no suspects have been arrested.
The casino is set to re-open at 8 am local time Monday.

Great Flood Exhibit Becomes Great Leak For Home County
