A lab for refining cocaine was found on a family farm of Colombian ambassador to Uruguay Fernando Sanclemente (archived). Historically the farm produced racehorses alongside beef and dairy cows, but police searched the finca after several alleged complaints of explosions in forested areas at the margins of the property leading to the discovery of a facility for adding value to a different local agricultural product.
