As Asian markets opened for this week's trading, futures of the benchmark Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude oils both dropped more than 20 percent (archived, archived). Continue reading

China Condemns "Foreign" Backed "Color Revolutions" Around The World
Chinese defense minister Wei Fenghe, while declining to explicitly name the USG, condemned the USG's instigation of "color revolutions" and unrest around the world (archived).
Wanton interference in other countries’ affairs will never win. Interfering in other countries’ domestic affairs, instigating a color revolution or even attempts to subvert the legitimate governments of other countries are the real causes of wars and unrest in different regions
As the USG's once servicable capacity to conduct military interventions has collapsed, formenting unrest through the US State Department has become the last remaining threat in the USG regime change toolkit. It hasn't been working very well.
US Warmongering Against Venezuela Erodes Post WWII Inter-American Treaty
The 1947 Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance appears to be breaking as the US seeks to pull all of the Americas into a Venezuelan War (archived, archived). While the treaty was invoked several times through the Cold War and most recently after 9/11, the American country of Uruguay doesn't seem to see why they should support US military action against Venezuela. Especially if the US wasn't willing to support Argentine military action against Britain in 1982.
It appears that after the US failure in 1982 to love the Americas as much as Americans love Miami, the symbollic "9/11 bad, never forget" invocation was all the cooperation this relic of the fading world order had left.
John Bolton Out As US National Security Advisor
John Bolton is out as US National Security Advisor after using the position to systematically reduce US national security as so many of his predecessors have done before him (archived). Different parties are claiming a firing or resignation effected the departure. Bolton's legacy over his tenures in the Trump and Bush II administrations is a reduction of USG ability to effect its policy abroad to levels not seen in a century.
Macri Begins Implementing Capital Controls As Foreign Currency Reserves Exhaust
Three weeks after the prospect of a Kirchner-Fernandez government gutted the value of the Argentine peso, current Argentine president Macri's increasingly Kirchner-esque response to the crisis has hit a new milestone (archived). The current regime has declared Argentinos may buy no more than 10,000 USD in a month and that businesses in Argentina submit their USD purchase plans to the government lest they are determined to be "hoarding" USD.
This comes after Argentina has spent 21 days actively fighting the market and exhausting its foreign currency reserves by trying to prop up the Peso Argentina's value near 60 to the USD when the market clearly understands that the Peso Argentino's value should be far lower. The remaining reserves nominally belonging to the Argentine Central Bank are encumbered as collateral for loans and almost certain to be forfeited in the coming default.
Meanwhile, publications in the Northern Argentina calling itself the US lead by Forbes had been running pieces written by Peronists explaining why Argentina can't be in as bad of a position as its behavior is forcing it into (archived). At last they had been until today when they had to admit currency controls are back.
Week In Review: Iran's "Come At Me Bro" Posture Exposing USG Empire's Impotence
This week has seen tensions between the US and Iran escalate to the brink of a shooting war with a 100+ million USD drone's obliteration following its violation of Iran's airspace. The shootdown was followed by several hours of drama over whether or not the USG would answer Iran's act of border defense with retaliatory airstrikes. While the details of the process remain unclear, US President Donald Trump decided not to strike in defiance of staff of career USG national security advisors (archived). Instead, sometime tomorrow new sanctions and an escalation of the USG's economic war against Iran will be announced raising tensions still higher.
After the USG's embarrassing regime change miss in Venezuela, it is clear that the USG has never been weaker or less influential on the international stage since William Henry Seward nearly provoked Europe to end the US as Abraham Lincoln's Madame Secretary of State. With US warfighters wrecked in the aftermath of their own color revolution, the US Department of "Defense" briefly published a document outlining a hypothetical doctrine suggesting the US could achieve "strategic rebalance" by winning a nuclear war (archived).
And so the USG empire enters this next week with the a serious dilemma. Earlier this year their intelligence apparatus failed to buy regime change in Venezuela. A very sophisticated drone that was supposed to enjoy protection from airdefense missiles through its high flight altitude was taken down by an airdefense missile. What can the USG possibly do that demonstrates anything other than the empire's increasing impotence?
Madame Secretary Pompeo Leaks: USG Failed Politically In Venezuela
USG Madame Secretary Mike Pompeo has been caught in a leak lamenting the USG's political failure in Venezuela (archived). Per Madame secretary's laments, it appears the USG gravely misunderstood the mechanics of political parties in Latin America. In particular, the phenomenon where electorally untenable parties will fight their position all the way to their loss, repeatedly, instead of pursuing coalitions or moving on from dead movements appears to have been ignored.
Thusly with a grave lack of political and cultural competence in the Americas, the USG regime change team and Madame Secretary Pompeo found themselves in a hard place. Instead of uniting, "the opposition" in Venezuela came to offer more than 40 parties with "leaders" claiming to be the right and legitimate president of Venezuela, if only the USG could do all of the work for them.
Venezuelan Navy Repels USCG Cutter James From Entering National Waters
The Venezuelan Navy intercepted the US Coast Guard Cutter James as it was approaching Venezuelan territorial waters and made the US vessel change course before it could successfully breach Venezuelan waters (archived). Last May the USCGC James delivered six tons of cocaine captured through USG piracy operation to Port Everglades in the USG occupied territory of Florida, presumably for marketing and consumption in the domestic market (archived). In addition to engaging in piracy against pharmaceutical businesses, this US warship is equipped to serve as a floating command and control platform with a dock for launching and landing rigid-hulled inflatable boats out of zher stern (archived).
USG Cuts Electricity To Venezuelan Embassy In DC
Agents of the criminal organization calling itself the US Government have cut off the flow of electricity to Venezuela's embassy in Washington DC (archived). This is the first overt attack on Venezuelan soil during this US "regime change" campaign despite apparent USG sabotage of the Gurí dam in Venezuela and an absolute embarrassment of a coup attempt carried out through CIA stooge Juan Guaidó. A number of US citizen protestors have taken to assisting the democratically elected government of Venezuela in defense of their embassy since last month. The USG sure likes turning off other people's electricity.
After Coup Embarrassment USG Goes On Tilt Aggressing On All Rivals At The Same Time
Engaged in an embarrassing quagimire in Venezuela following a spectacularly inept coup attempt, the criminal organization calling itself the United States Government has impotently gone on tilt by escalating zher ongoing aggression against zher rivals. A carrier group and bomber task force have been sent flex near Iran following an imagined provacation the US is hyping up despite an absence of any acute aggression or other notable movement on Iran's part (archived).
At the same time the US is sailing two small warships through the South China Sea near islands claimed by China (archived). Most Pantsuitist Anglophone media is hyping small trade related disputes while China is engaged in diplomacy abroad by committing to develop much of the world as part of its belt and road initiative though this movement is ignored in USG lands (archived).
Finally Russia's Khmeimim airbase was shelled, allegedly by members of the group formerly known as "Al-Nusra Front" today. Al-Nusra Front is one of many group in Syria who availed themselves of US weapons during the Hussein Bahamas and Hillary Clinton era of USG thuggery.
