Native worms and snails in Spain are finding themselves falling prey to the invasive Obama flatworm from Brazil (archived). The Obama flatworm presents two traits that make it a truly destructive invader. It's a generalist predator happy to eat whatever invertebrates present themselves in the local environment, and the Obama worm itself has an awful taste which discourages native potential predators from hunting it.

Spain Relitigating Civil War Now That Losers Hold Government
The recently elected Socialist government of Spain has given the family of late Spanish leader Francisco Franco a mere 15 days to choose a new burial place for their beloved folllowing the passing of an "exhumation bill" (archived). Franco came power in 1939 to end the country's bloody civil war and maintained the peace through his death in 1975. Franco is presently interred in a memorial to the Spanish Civil War's dead which he ordered built as an act of atonement for the price he paid in Spanish lives to achieve peace. Meanwhile, the fellows who passed a bill to exhume this particular departed man benefit from living 80 years after that man stopped the bloodshed.
Spanish Guardia Civil Shuts Down Outlaw Environmentalist Turtle Breeding Operation
The Spanish Civil Guard shuttered a farm in Majorca, Spain which was breeding a number of endangered turtle species. More than one thousand sustainably bred and breeding turtles were captured in a move that the Gendarmie is calling a "rescue" (archived). A pet shop owner who allegedly assisted in the distribution of these sustainably farmed turtles was also arrested for their conservation efforts.
The fate of the captured turtles is unknown at this time, but it is unlikely to allow them to contribute to the perpetuation of their species as effectively as they did in this now shuttered conservation operation. Regardless of how prolifically they are bred by fiat sanctioned environmentalists, their children will be unable to contribute to relieving demand for wild caught members of their species.
Money laundering charges were also filed because these outlaw environmentalists had the audacity to use money without explicit permission from the local cabal of socialist scum that imagines such a thing can be required.
Oppression In Spain: Heavy Handed Madrid Government Suppressing Catalan Independence Referendum
The Madrid government has arrested numerous local leaders, seized voting materials, usurped local police command, and undertaken a campaign of censorship in an effort to stop a referendum from happening (archived). On September 27th, 2015 the government of the nominally autonomous region of Catalonia announced its intent to pursue a peaceful secession from the Madrid government and become an independent republic. Towards this cause they scheduled a referendum on independence for October 1st of this year.
As is typical of other contemporary European secession movements, there is substantial resentment that the self declared supranational government in Madrid is burdening the Catalan nation with the woe demanded by the failing two headed EU Reich centered in Berlin and Brussels. Apparently the level of resentment has hit a point where Angela Merkel's puppets in Madrid are seeking to prevent a vote they are sure to lose for the sake of preserving "Our Democracy".
US Department of "Justice" Absconding With Botnet In Spanish Arrest
Fresh on the heels of an arresting alleged hacker Peter Levashov in Spain, the Department of Justice announced plans to disable a botnet – known as Kelihos – they claim was under his control and used to send spam emails and infect systems with ransomware. Acting assistant attorney-general Kenneth Blanco said the operation will "redirect Kelihos-infected computers to a substitute server", in order to block communications between infected devices and the botnet server, instead redirecting the compromised machines to the DOJ's own botnet servers. Levashov reportedly had been operating the botnet since 2010, and targeted computers running all variants of Microsoft Windows, the preferred target OS of botnet harvesters worldwide. The Department of Justice statement concluded by stating that "The US government will share samples of the malware with antivirus vendors in facilitate updates to their programs which will allow them to detect and remove Kelihos" while leaving government backdoors firmly in place.
Spain (WOT:nonperson) Raid And Arrests Mining Farm Operators
Spanish police (WOT:nonpeople) have raided a number of Bitcoin mining farms and arrested their operators over "money laundering" concerns. The willingness of Spanish police to do this in the face of Chinese and Anglophone mining hegemony exacerbates, but not critically the miner problem. In spite of the love various "anarchists" give Spain, Spain doesn't seem to reciprocate that affection.
