Peso Argentino And Argentine Markets Fall After Primary Elections Give "Peronist" Alberto Fernandez, Cristina Kirchner Margin Sufficient To Win October Ballot Outright

Primary elections in Argentina on Sunday returned results that gave the "Peronist" ticket of Alberto Fernandez and Cristina Kirchner sufficient votes to win the October general election outright if yesterday's performance is repeated. This has been met with a 14.5 percent fall of the Peso Argentino against the USD, while the brief narrowing of the buy/sell spead of the Peso Argentino in Uruguay has been blown open with exchanges in Uruguay advertising spreads as wide as 0.50/1.15 (archived). Argentina's stock market has suffered today as well.

In a development less clearly connected to Argentina's electoral/economic disaster, the twitter account of Prefectura Naval Argentina was "hacked" to broadcast an hoax alert claiming a British missile attack had killed 27. In the incredibly unlikely event a new Falklands conflict opened up again between Argentina and Queen Elizabeth's forces, the largest open question is which of the two combatants declined more in the intervening decades.

More Than A Quarter Of US C-130H/J Grounded Over Structural Concerns

The United States Air Mobility Command has grounded 123 of the 450 planes in its C-130H and C-130J transport aircraft (archived). The official line on the grounding is that "unusual cracking" was found in the lower center wing joint. This sudden reduction in transport capacity is not a good look for the USG's operational capacity in light of its other recent failings.

Americas Today: Uruguay Issues Travel Advisory Urging Caution For Visitors To US

Uruguay's Ministry of Exterior Relations has issued a travel advisory for Uruguayos headed to the US advising them to avoid among other things particular cities known internationally for their endemic violence including Detroit, Baltimore, and Albuquerque (archived). The advisory also discourages attending culinary, cultural, sporting events, and anywhere else large crowds gather due to the ongoing war between individual disaffected youth and the school marm bloc. The full text of the advisory is replicated below:

COMUNICADO DE PRENSA Nº 92/19

Uruguay's First Trans-Senator Pleas Guilty To Buffet Of Fraud Charges

transbeastMichelle Suárez, Uruguay's first trans-Senator has plead guilty to a variety of crimes relating to her legal practice including fraud and falsifying signatures of zher clients (archived). The communist former Frente Amplio Senator born in 1983 claims the titles of first trans-University graduate, first trans-lawyer, and first trans-holder of elected office in Uruguay. Zhe has been under house arrest since April 18, 2018 due to zher morbid obesity and diabetes making prison incarceration prohibitively expensive. Suárez's legal problems began shortly after zher October 2017 arrival in the Senate, a mere three months later Suárez resigned zher seat when the first forgery charges against her emerged. In the initial case zhe trans-signed a document reliquishing a father's parental and visitation rights forever. The objections of the father and the father's actual attorney lead to this ham's fall from the trough and  the investigation of a number of Suárez's other frauds.

Per the plea agreement, Suárez faces another year of home detention followed by two years of probation during which zhe will be barred from public office and pursuing reinstatement of zher license to practice law.

Argentine Fuckup Leads To Power Outages In Argentina, Uruguay, And Parts Of Other South American Countries

Argentina's EDESA fucked up their transmission interlink bringing power from Paraguay's Yacyretá dam leading to a casacade of failures that caused nationwide outages in Argentina and Uruguay with partial outages in most neighboring countries (archived, archived). The outage began 7:02 local time (UTC -3) and Uruguay's national electric utility UTE had restored power to most of the country within a few hours. Service restoration in Argentina has been slower, except in Tierra del Fuego which avoided the outage with its own generation facilities and separation from the rest of Argentina's electric grid.

Paraguay, where the Yacyretá dam is located, is a massive exporter of hydroelectric generated power to the region with most of its output being bought by Brazil. Uruguay exports electricity to Argentina. Argentina is a major net importer of electricity, buying substantial amounts of power from its neighbors.

Madame Secretary Pompeo Leaks: USG Failed Politically In Venezuela

USG Madame Secretary Mike Pompeo has been caught in a leak lamenting the USG's political failure in Venezuela (archived). Per Madame secretary's laments, it appears the USG gravely misunderstood the mechanics of political parties in Latin America. In particular, the phenomenon where electorally untenable parties will fight their position all the way to their loss, repeatedly, instead of pursuing coalitions or moving on from dead movements appears to have been ignored.

Thusly with a grave lack of political and cultural competence in the Americas, the USG regime change team and Madame Secretary Pompeo found themselves in a hard place. Instead of uniting, "the opposition" in Venezuela came to offer more than 40 parties with "leaders" claiming to be the right and legitimate president of Venezuela, if only the USG could do all of the work for them.

Violence Today: Modern Democracy Bringing Misery to Indonesia, ARIN, Iran, And Bolton Watch

For the 27th consecutive week Yellow Jacket protestors in France are calling for an end to the Macron regime.

Jakarta and Indonesia at large are under a "terror alert" ahead of elections next week (archived). The published fear is that local militant groups will bomb protests after the results are announced.

The criminal organization calling itself the "United States Government" has brought violence down upon South Carolina man Amir Golestan for market making North American IPv4 blocks when ARIN, the American Registry for Internet Numbers refused to do so (archived). Unlike the numerous other brokers for IPv4 addresses in the ARIN region Golestan is facing charges because he allegedly made a paperwork mistake leading the USG to issue 20 charges of felony wire fraud, each carrying a potential 20 year prison sentence.

Rumors and innuendo are swirling after recent embarrassments demonstrating the USG's inability to have a foreign policy, that John Bolton's time in the Trump administration may be coming to an end. After some brief stotting in the wake of the Venezuelan coup debacle, Bolton has begun rapidly pivoting the US to a war posture against Iran without adequately seeking the consent of democratically elected US President Trump (archived).

Sweden To Put In A Competing Assange Extradition Claim

Sweden has opened their investigation into Julian Assange again and appear to be preparing a competing extradition claim to the US one as Britain continues keeping Assange in captivity. At the same time Ecuador has turned over Assange's property left in their embassy to the USG (archived).

Venezuelan Navy Repels USCG Cutter James From Entering National Waters

The Venezuelan Navy intercepted the US Coast Guard Cutter James as it was approaching Venezuelan territorial waters and made the US vessel change course before it could successfully breach Venezuelan waters (archived). Last May the USCGC James delivered six tons of cocaine captured through USG piracy operation to Port Everglades in the USG occupied territory of Florida, presumably for marketing and consumption in the domestic market (archived). In addition to engaging in piracy against pharmaceutical businesses, this US warship is equipped to serve as a floating command and control platform with a dock for launching and landing rigid-hulled inflatable boats out of zher stern (archived).
