Spanish police (WOT:nonpeople) have raided a number of Bitcoin mining farms and arrested their operators over "money laundering" concerns. The willingness of Spanish police to do this in the face of Chinese and Anglophone mining hegemony exacerbates, but not critically the miner problem. In spite of the love various "anarchists" give Spain, Spain doesn't seem to reciprocate that affection.

Sidechain Lisk Launches With Lulz
The launch of the Lisk sidechain application development platform is off to a lulzy start with early investors mumbling "fraud" to themselves. The developers failed to accurately publish a docker image necessary for their blockchain and site to work properly, leaving users scrambling to move coins to exchanges where it had already begun to trade. The project's homepage at login.lisk.io at times leads to a improperly configured root server index page, with devs cobbling together fixes while the exchange coins continue to sell heavily. Price was down -91.13 % at the time of this article, with an average price hovering around 25 cents per coin according to coinmarketcap.com. Projections show that it likely wont be worth two cents.
Transmayos Throw Wrench In Hussein Bahamas' Bathroom Brouha
Last week much of the American media's news pipelines were constipated by the announcement that President Hussein Bahamas (WOT: nonperson) intended to make the etiquette of bathroom selection a Federal matter with strict rules enforced by the criminal gang in Washington DC. The crux of the move by Hussein Bahamas is to ensure schools are compelled to force students to use bathrooms that correspond with the student's outward gender expression. Hussein Bahamas' announcement however regressively adhered to a male/female gender binary ignoring the increase in individuals who have transitioned into the mayogender (archived). Continue reading
Bitcoin Fork "Core" Plans To "Open Up" Contribution Process
The "Core" fork of the reference Bitcoin client plans to open up their development process in order to solicit changes from parties uninterested in technology. The move is supposedly inspired by the ClassicCoin coup attempt as developers of the "Core" client prepare their own "CoreCoin" coup attempt. As other hostile social engineers did before, they will attempt to move value from actual Bitcoin to their altcoin by fraudulently misrepresenting their effort as some sort of "natural evolution" or enhancement of Bitcoin.
Unlike the ClassicCoin team this different merry brand of fraudsters will lean on their history of conning the mining cartel1 into enforcing various option "soft forks" unrelated to the actual Bitcoin protocol as a sort of magical token of legitimacy. Nevertheless their claims of "stewardship" over Bitcoin have still less basis in fact than the Australian Fraudster Hoaxtoshi's claims of having created Bitcoin.
The "CoreCoin" team has not yet publically made any content containing statements on what they will bring to the table actually justifying the grave move to hard fork Bitcoin deferring to their need, like Gavin did, to do it so people know it can be done.
The fact that the CoreCoin developers and leaders of the major mining pools have gathered together and entered into contracts together is prima facie evidence that "Yes Virginia, there is a mining cartel." ↩
United States Surveillance Court Rejected No Orders In 2015
News has emerged that the United States Foreign Surveillance Intelligence Court which serves the criminal gang in Washington DC had rejected no requested surveillance orders presented for its consideration by gang members. This is just the latest in a long line of examples of various designer courts and magistrates existing merely to serve the criminal element in a role that has more in common with their police detectives than anything an actual jurist does. Meanwhile endangered actual jurists surviving in the United States tend to serve on appellate courts where their docket is filled with questions concerning the conduct of public entertainment which deprives them of the opportunity to effectively keep the lower courts miscarriages of justice in check. Sorry for your laws.
Hoaxtoshi Breaks Promise
Today Hoaxtoshi, also known as Craig Steven Wright (WOT:nonperson), broke a promise he made earlier this week to publicly present present proof that he might be the historical Satoshi. Hoaxtoshi began the week by hoodwinking a number of high volume/low quality media outlets like the BBC and the Economist into believing he was Satoshi by taking an early transaction from the blockchain and presenting its parts ordered in such a way as to fake the act of signing with a key awarded an early coinbase transaction. The exact words he presented are:
I’m Sorry
I believed that I could do this. I believed that I could put the years of anonymity and hiding behind me. But, as the events of this week unfolded and I prepared to publish the proof of access to the earliest keys, I broke. I do not have the courage. I cannot. When the rumors began, my qualifications and character were attacked. When those allegations were proven false, new allegations have already begun. I know now that I am not strong enough for this.
I know that this weakness will cause great damage to those that have supported me, and particularly to Jon Matonis and Gavin Andresen. I can only hope that their honour and credibility is not irreparably tainted by my actions. They were not deceived, but I know that the world will never believe that now. I can only say I’m sorry.
And goodbye.
Which exactly fits the scammer modus operandi of claiming their emotional fragility on par with the contemporary northeastern liberal arts student makes solving the problem they claim they are easily equipped to solve "too hard" on an emotional level.
Hoaxtoshi Continues Swindling Media
Craig Steven Wright (WOT: nonperson) has reportedly hosted an event with reporters from various fiat media outlets where he faked signing a string with an early coinbase transaction in order to be declared actual Satoshi. For this ruse Hoaxtoshi took an existing transaction signed by the key credited in the block 9 coinbase transaction and acted as though he was signing at the event even though the signature had been actually produced long ago by the key's actual owner. Because of the positions the low quality rubes Hoaxtoshi selected for his audience hold in the fiat media order there are declarations that Hoaxtoshi is the actual Satoshi appearing in various news syndication channels including the BBC and CBS radio. These rubes were very understanding of the fact that Hoaxtoshi apparently couldn't actually move any coins because "the trust actually owns them"(TM)(R).
The Parting Of ChangeTip Continues
Micro payment service ChangeTip continues to exhibit spasmodic death throes as it announced that users will be required to contact support if they wish to tip amounts in excess of 25 USD. Last week Qntra reported that the service itself is still seeking a buyer after the majority of it's employees were snapped up by AirBNB. ChangeTip support is limiting user deposits to $100 Users of the "service" still seem to be unaware that one can simply send any amount of Bitcoin desired to a person's public address without limits or incurring additional fees.
Docker On List Of Companies Taking Quiet CIA Funding
The Intercept has published a list of 38 companies involved in the datamining business1 that take undisclosed funding from the venture capital arm of the United States Central Intelligence Agency (archived). Among these companies was one not often though of in conjunction with the data mining business, Docker who develops software that leverages containers to ease the automated deployment of various kinds of application software. Docker last attracted the attention of Qntra when their employee and Debian founder Ian Murdock died following a violent encounter with police. Following his death Docker Inc. managed his affairs. Consider Docker harmful. Sorry for your loss. Peace in our time.
Edit: Here is a link to a previous discussion of the CIA money disbursement machine. Many of the funded companies go beyond datamining and in fact engage in all kinds of snake oil. Some even produce products available for "civilian" use. ↩
"Soft" Fork Advocate Proposes Harder Type Of "Soft" Fork
Peter Todd, a noted soft fork proponent and developer currently on contract with the venture at one point known as BTC China, has since January been bringing up the possibility of a new kind of "soft" fork as a potential step towards a hard fork. This new class of turd is being referred to as a "Forced Soft Fork" with the forcing element being that it would become impossible to spend coins from actual Bitcoin clients without signing on to the new, unwanted, steaming pile of shit. Thankfully an actual Bitcoin implementation maintained by Bitcoin purists1 is available.
As opposed to people who like the extant adoption and value of Bitcoin, but want to gradually change everything about Bitcoin other than its name into something completely different. ↩
