Some very inconvenient things happened to Anglophone fiatist and pantuitists this week. Here are a few of them:
- Airstrip One's Parliament has finally voted to Brexit on the 31st of this month with a transition period which will run through the end of the year.
- Local media in Airstrip One failed to overwhelm with Brexit pessimissm because they were too busy covering #Megxit, a made for reality-tv drama in which Prince Harry and his foreign bride made the decision to quit being royalty. While the noise has focused on the problematic personality of Harry's wife, there has been little made of whether her problematic US citizenship and IRS desires to invade the Queendom's finances were at play.
- The Senate trial of democratically elected US President Donald Trump on the Impeachment issued by the Pantsuitist lower legislative chamber started. Coincidentally, in the Pantsuitist primary polling Joe Biden has fallen well behind Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders for whatever those polls may be worth.
- After initally announcing that Iranian missile strikes on USG positions in Iraq inflicted no casualties, the USG ministry of war annouced yesterday that 34 USG military personel were treated for "brain injuries" in the immediate aftermath of the strike. Per the Pentagon 17 casualties were evacuated to medical facilities in Germany and 9 remain hospitalized in Germany with some others flown to the US for further treatment.
Bernice Sanders is a Brooklyn Jew (not that there's anything wrong with that) socialist (there is a lot wrong with that) who, sure, the Burlington hipsters are guilty of initially giving voice to in the 1980s.
Her origins are why her brethren Larry David does such a good impression while Bernice herself would be hard pressed to pull off an impression of native Vermonters who speak a dialect of Canadian.
One thing I see going for that particular horse in this race is he's been consistently stupid in his own way for so long. Because there's such a wide space for folks to be stupid in, on a long enough timeline any stupidity can become fashionable. It seems like this might be his turn.
