Coming on the heels of the emergent #Vexit movement to move most Virginia counties to West Virginia is the a movement to move numerous rural Oregon counties into Idaho (archived). While #Vexit enjoys the endorsement of West Virginia's governor, secession supporters in Oregon's Douglas and Josephine counties are moving forward with petitions to add the question of "Which state do county residents want to be a part of?" to the November ballot.

Much as Virginia politics have become dominated by bureaucratic hypertrophy in the DC suburbs, Oregon politics have long been dominated by Portland's favelas.
