Could we get more in depth articles about Ethereum? I haven't bothered looking at it, but for example it claims it can switch from PoW to PoS – is there any concrete development or is it all fluff? How easy is it to attack it by renting servers by the hour from AWS?

The problem on Ether if you think about it as money is Ether supply is not fixed it keeps expanding. The second problem on Ether is no need for Ether to be Turning Complete and have a block chain. If this is the case, there are many other Turing Complete languages you can use in conjunction with BitCoin to do all the things that Ether Does.
Roger Ver is responding to the price of Ether, not spec. His aim is to be billionaire like Mircea Popescu, and not to be correct about every investment he makes in what are small technical details to him. No one who trade Ether on exchanges knows what Turing Complete means or can identify Alan Turing in a police line up. They know Ver tho.
