As the scheduled May 15th sentencing for Ross Ulbricht approaches Preet Bharara's office is once again engaging in brinkmanship and shenanigans aimed at subverting actual applications of justice. At the sentencing hearing the prosecution plans to present new evidence, which apparently wasn't good enough for the trial, that supposedly links six overdose deaths to drugs allegedly purchased on the Silk Road. Ulbricht's attorney Josh Dratel has requested the sentencing be delayed another month to prepare a response to the government's latest assertion.

At this point it is abundantly clear that the government and Preet Bharara are doing everything they can to turn this fatally flawed case into a symbolic victory. They are pulling out all of the stops to conceal their own impotence by sending Ulbricht to prison for the rest of a natural life, either Ulbricht's or that of the United States regime in anything resembling its current form.

This is the same government that could not buy the loyalty of a "law enforcement" officer by paying them a salary fit for a neurologist with two decades of experience. The United States Government was paying Carl Mark Force IV just under a quarter million dollars a year for his role as an agent of the Drug Enforcement agency and the man blew up any last shred of credibility the Silk Road investigation and prosecution might have had so he could take for himself a sum of money that was less than what he could have made by continuing his employment for four more years.

The government which can not pay its own agents enough to secure their love is now laying all of their hope on delivering the maximum possible sentence to Ross Ulbricht on tears. The parents of two of the allegedly six persons who supposedly died from overdosing on Silk Road drugs are Bharara's list to testify at Ulbricht's sentencing.

As of press time there is no word on when Express Scripts and CVS Caremark executives are to be sentenced for facilitating the purchase of opiates involved in a number of overdose deaths which is certainly greater than six.
