Reason Magazine via the Wall Street Journal reports that freshman Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren has come out against legislation proposed by Kentucky Senator Rand Paul to audit the Federal Reserve. This is in spite of the fact that in the past she has called for investigations into corruption in the Federal Reserve banks.
This is part of a well established pattern of hypocrisy by Warren, the Senior Massachusetts Senator. In the past in spite of delivering populist diatribes against the evils of crony capitalism and subsidizing big business, she ended up in the end supporting the continued existence of the United States Export-Import Bank. This is in spite of the Export-Import Bank present existence as a de facto open ended subsidy for aerospace giant Boeing and a handful of other extraordinarily large businesses.
