Bitcoins Not Bombs Has A Different Meaning In Canada

A Calgary Police spokesman has revealed that a number of schools within Calgary, CA have come under threat of being asploded by bombs unless a Bitcoin ransom is promptly paid to a known but yet disclosed by police address.

The threat, which was received via email by both police and local schools in the area on February 5th, is claimed by police as not being legitimate despite said police increasing their presence at the schools which came under threat.

Spokesperson Kevin Brookwell also stated that such a threat is not a first, having occurred within other jurisdictions of Canada.

The latest attempt to extort a bitcoin ransom comes off the back of the kidnapping of a Canadian man last month as well as another Canadian who advised all nations to accept Bitcoin as the "the one and only global currency."
