Winning Poker Network has announced on the twoplustwo poker forum1 that it will once again accept bitcoin deposits and that bitcoin withdrawals will soon follow. Skins which currently operate on WPN include America's Card Room, True Poker, BetCRIS Poker, BetDSI Poker, FabPoker, BookMaker Poker, Betcoin Poker and Ya Poker.
The announcement reads:
Hi Guys,
Just to let you know that we are now accepting bitcoin deposits only.
From next week we will also be accepting withdrawals.
The limit is $25,000 per transaction.
Despite the announcement, it is not in fact the first time that bitcoin has been accepted at skins such as ACR which operate on the WPN. In January of 2014, ACR integrated bitcoin deposits for Canadian users after Skrill, previously known as MoneyBookers, removed their service as a deposit option for Canadian ACR players. At that time, ACR did not market the service due to concerns it would overwhelm the customer service team and to allow for time to iron out any issues players making bitcoin deposits might did experience.
Unlike poker sites such as Seals with Clubs and the soon to launch according to them Bitnplay, ACR exchange bitcoin deposits into fiat with plans to exchange the cash back into bitcoin should a player wish to make a bitcoin withdrawal. It is unknown at this time which payment processor or exchange WPN's ACR is using but at the time of the first attempt to integrate bitcoin deposits, ACR were using CaVirtex.
