..::[ The Bitcoin Foundation: STATE OF BITCOIN ADDRESS ]::..

     [ Date: 2016.01.30 ]
     [   Co-Chairs: mod6 [R.01] && ben_vulpes [R.02]    ]

0x00]: Introduction

It is with great honor and privilege that The Bitcoin Foundation embraces
this opportunity to address the public on the state of current progress,
obstacles and continuing steps in our mission.

During the course of January, The Foundation focused most of its efforts
around completing the necessary, requested, changes to mod6's `V'.

0x01]: Accomplishments

mod6 spent the entire month implementing the required changes to `V' with
  vigor.

The list of requested changes amounts to:
0x010: Adherence to wot-variant paradigm. Ensuring that no unsigned vpatches
will be accepted into the flow, and thereby pressable. i.e. If a
vpatch is present in the project, it must have a valid signature from
a current wot entity to be evaluated and processed.
0x011: Implementation of an axiom described [R.03] by mircea_popescu [R.04].
0x012: Continued support for the widely debated 'multiple-roots'.
0x013: Automated Functional Tests to validate correctness and ensure
          regressions did not occur.

  Status of requested changes:

0x010: Code complete. Analysis complete. Testing on-going.
  0x011: Code complete. Analysis on-going. Testing on-going.
0x012: Code complete. Analysis beginning. Testing beginning.
0x013: Nine new tests implemented to ensure correctness of above requested
          changes. Six legacy tests updated.
Upon completion of code and analysis, mod6 will continue to add and
update tests as needed. It can not be understated how important and
helpful these tests have been during this development cycle.

0x02]: Complications and Obstacles

0x03]: Continuing Steps

mod6 will continue put efforts into completing, and testing `V' changes.

Upon completion and release of the forthcoming version of `V' (V99994),
mod6's focus will return to The Reference Implementation.

0x04]: Conclusion

The Bitcoin Foundation would like to bestow our sincerest thanks and
gratitude to the contributors and community for its support and insight.
